i foolishly followed hp-rp-confessions some time back and boy am i seeing a whole lot of bitterness; whether its over lack of notes, interaction, or straight up jealousy.

it wouldn’t normally bother me, any of those things, cause its just human nature bUT i can’t help feeling like people are taking this way too seriously.

this community was built on creativity and fun. it used to be for making friends and having a good time and experimenting with makeup/costume/acting etc.

when people start to weigh their own success against others, thats when issues start to arise. i hate to say it, but any creative-type community is going to be full of jealousy and hierarchy. I’ve seen a lot of people adopt the attitude of ‘if that person can have ___ followers, why don’t i? i’m just as good’. and yeah!! but also n o.

idk what I’m really trying to say, but i just wish people realised that this is just about having fun and shit, not about numbers or asks. if it bothers you that much then actively seek things out! get really stuck in, message people, rp popular things, invest in fancy wigs n shit.

A L s O the most well-known blogs?? work super fuckin hard for it all. a ton of work, and planning, and money, and time has been invested to make things!! god knows the effort that goes into script writing for big projects (see: The Snowball Effect and The Price of War)

Status report

((OOC: So I just want to throw this message out there and confirm that I am not lost at sea. Nor have I fled the country or gotten kidnapped by menacing gnomes. I also haven’t abandon this blog again (like I did for six months last year..).

I have however just moved a couple of weeks ago and I don’t have any Wi-Fi at my new place yet. Nor will I in the next couple weeks. *cries in agony*. I will be back as soon as possible and hopefully get to upload some new stuff as well. Hopefully.. Until then, Ta ta darlings~ ))
