An evening in Godric’s Hollow, Lily has had enough of only seeing the inside of their house. She grabbed her wand and a sweater in the intent to step outside for 5 minutes and see the sky for once.

She shouted back into the house at her husband and his best friend who were, of course, worrying about her leaving the house and the baby in their hands.

Oh lord TT… see in the books one of the most powerful and soul-crushing images for me has always been the description in POA of Sirius Black laughing after he[peter] blew up that muggle block; there is just something so gut-wrenchingly /real/ about his breakdown, his raw hysteria, when he /knows/ the truly unfathomable. And you, my friend, have brought to life with such injurious clarity the visceral, incomprehensible horror that broke Sirius Black.
